Hello!

I’m Frida Kamau, I was born in Kenya and live and make art in Brooklyn, NY. I work with private & commercial clients to find creative and esthetic solutions for their spaces, events and life.

I’ve also assisted other artists, designers and brands in product design+manufacturing, art making and fabrication.

I apply my passion for sustainable production + traditional crafts as a designer and curator for soko africanus, a retail outlet for handmade good made in Kenya, primarily with women-run collectives & underserved communities.

Currently, my work is focused on botanical installations and sculptures, along with garden design, installation and consultation.
